Three mistakes to avoid as an affiliate....

Everyone knows affiliate marketing is one of the most effective and powerful ways of earning money online. Everybody has a chance to make a profit through the Internet now days, and there are endless programs to choose from covering just about every topic around.
Affiliate marketing programs are easy to join and are astoundingly simple to implement. They pay commissions on a regular basis, and more and more people are now becoming involved in this type of business.

Because of their simplicity they can be used as an early learning curve for the newbie marketers , or a massive income provider for the more experienced.
As with all good things though there is a “But”. All businesses have the down- falls, and affiliate marketing is no exception.

I want to share with you the 3 most common mistakes that people make which end up costing them large portions of their hard earned profits. This is my reason for this article; to help you make the most of your affiliate campaigns.

Common mistake number 1: Not buying the product or using the service.

As an affiliate, you need to be effective and convincing in promoting a product or service, and to find customers suited to that product or service. To be successful at this, you must be able to portray confidence in your chosen product or service. Potential customers will be on their guard and be wanting you to put their suspicions at rest, which from experience is a lot easier said than done.

Surely you can’t be aware of a products benefits and pitfalls, if you yourself have not tried these things out. You can quite easily fail to promote and recommend them convincingly, and worst still leave yourself open to getting bad credibility.
Taking note of the above will leave you in great stead for avoiding the next two mistakes.

Common mistake number 2: Joining too many affiliate programs

With the ease of joining affiliate programs, you may well be tempted to join a whole multitude of affiliate programs trying to maximize your income. You may now be asking, “What’s wrong with being part of many different affiliate programs”?

Although there is truth that it is good to have multiple sources of income. Joining multiple programs will prevent you from concentrating on each one of them, resulting in the maximum potential of your affiliate program not being realized. The best way to get excellent results is by joining just one program that pays at least a 50% commission and then giving your best effort by promoting your products with true enthusiasm. Only if and when you start to see a reasonable profit, should you then move on and join another affiliate program.

Common mistake number 3: .Choosing the wrong affiliate programs.

Too many people jump in head first and want to earn money from affiliate marketing as fast as possible. In the hustle and bustle to get in on the act, they have a tendency to choose a mountain of different products. Falling fowl to hype surrounding the next Big product that the Guru’s think is “hot”, will not do you any favours. Try not to choose the product just because it is in demand without actually considering if the product appeals to you.

Always choose a product that you have interest in. Then you should research the product to see if it’s in demand. Take your time to plan and figure out your actions. Promoting a product you are more passionate about is easier than promoting one for the sake of making money from it.

Success will come to you slowly but surely. There is no need to be rushing around like a headless chicken, especially with affiliate marketing.
Time is the key to success. Take your time to analyse your marketing strategy and check if you are on the right track. When applied properly, you will be able to hit your targets and your affiliate marketing program will easily reach its potential. The result? Profit.

So, to recap....Try the product or service personally first before you sign up as an affiliate to see if it is really delivering what it promises. If you have done so, then you are one of the credible and living testaments aware of its advantages and disadvantages.
Your potential customers will sense your confidence, absorb the sincerity and truthfulness in you and this will trigger them to try them out for themselves.

Autoresponders will allow you to increase your Internet Marketing Success

So, you are needing more time to concentrate on growing your business....? Then you need to get yourself an autoresponder. An autoresponder will become your best friend from the moment you sign up with one, they will work tirelessly 24 hours a day for you without stopping for lunch or toilet breaks or whatever.

They are basically a refined way of answering all your enquiries, storing your contacts and marketing your recommended products. They liaise with your subscribers and issue news and updates on your behalf, they are a bit like having your very own secretary without the expense or complaints about being over worked and under paid. They will work all day and night, week in week out, bank holidays included….
Your good friend the autoresponder will allow you to play your favourite sport, socialise, shop or whatever you want to do and it will still build your business when you’re not there.

The definition of an Autoresponder:
The autoresponder is an automatic program and service designed to take care of responding to emails sent by existing or potential customers. Answering emails personally takes up a lot of valuable time for both you and your customer. Not only do autoresponders allow you to spend the time elsewhere in your business, but also gives your customers access to the information almost within an instant. People expect to top of your priority when enquiring about your business or products, so it is a win win situation with an autoresponder. Your customers get priority and you get to save valuable time on other aspects of your business.

Autoresponders are always punctual and polite!
Your new members will always be welcomed to your website as well as thanking them for subscribing to your newsletter if you have one. You will want to know what the advantages are of making a friend out of an autoresponder as opposed to simply listing the information on the site?
An important feature of autoresponders is that they send you an email notification each time a response is sent out. This allows you to keep a record and track the success of your promotions, as well as have the email addresses of potential customers at your fingertips and easily send out updated and new information to them. It is imperative to choose an effective autoresponder. An autoresponder should be as personal as possible and send out follow-ups to potential customers since it has been proven that persistence pays off.Statistics have proven it can take up to seven contacts with your potential customer before a final sale is made.

In general, an advertisement should be short and to the point. However, if the customer has asked to see specific information, an effective autoresponder should allow you to place as much text on the page as you wish. The autoresponder that you choose should provide automatic updates to customers free of charge. All automatic responses will be welcomed to your marketing strategy and will go along way to automatically increase traffic to your site. Be certain that the one you choose includes all the extras that will send your site to the top and your profits through the roof.

The autoresponder is one tool that will not cost you a deal when compared to what it can achieve. There are many free autoresponders online from several sources. But, if you are serious about your business becoming a success I would not recommend that you use a free autoresponder to do business online. There are two reasons for this that come to mind - Firstly, if you use a free autoresponder the company has the right to place Advertisements in all your outgoing emails. Secondly, you are almost certain to lose your credibility and look like a complete novice. Most of the better autoresponders will give you a free trial. Now although you get a free trail, it is different form using a free autoresponder as it is just simply a case of try before you buy. I have used several different autoresponders over the last few years, but only two ever met my approval which I would feel comfortable to recommend to others.

The two companies I can recommend are Getresponse run by founder and owner Simon Grabowski and Aweber run by founder and owner Tom Kulzer. Both are excellent and I would say there is very little to choose between them. I use Getresponse but another great autoresponder is Aweber
I found Getresponse to be a little more user friendly and easier to navigate. Even though I lean towards Getresponse, I can't take anything away from Aweber - so my advice is to go to Getresponse and then go to Aweber and decide for yourself which one you think suits your business needs the best.

Should YOU Write An Ebook...?

It's not true that everything that has been said has already been written. Since that unfortunate axiom came into use, the whole universe has changed. Technology has changed, ideas have changed, and the mindsets of entire nations have changed.
The fact is that this is the perfect time to write an ebook. What the publishing industry needs are people who can tap into the world as it is today - innovative thinkers who can make the leap into the new millennium and figure out how to solve old problems in a new way.

Ebooks are a new and powerful tool for original thinkers with fresh ideas to distribute information to the millions of people who are struggling to figure out how to do thousands of different things.
Let's say you already have a brilliant idea, and the knowledge to back it up that will enable you to write an exceptional ebook. You may be sitting at your computer staring at a blank screen wondering, "Why should I go through all the trouble of writing my ebook when it's so impossible to get anything published these days"?

Well, let me assure you that publishing an ebook is entirely different than publishing a book in print. Let's look at the specifics of how the print and cyber publishing industry differ, and the many reasons why you should take the plunge and get your fingers tapping across those keyboards!
Submitting a print book to conventional publishing houses or to agents is similar to wearing a hair shirt24/7. No matter how good your book actually is, or how many critique services and mentor writers have told you that "you've got what it takes", your submitted manuscript keeps coming back to you as if it is a boomerang instead of a valuable mine of information.

Perhaps, in desperation, you've checked outself-publishing and found out just how expensive adventure it can be. Most "vanity presses" require minimal print runs of at least 500 copies, and even that amount will cost you thousands of dollars. Some presses' minimal run starts at 1,000 to 2,000 copies, and that's just for the printing and binding. Add in distribution, shipping, and promotional costs and -well, you do the maths. Even if you wanted to go this route, you may not have that kind of money to risk.

Let's say you already have an Internet business with a quality website and a quality product. An ebook is one of the most powerful ways to promote your business while educating people with the knowledge you already possess as a business owner of a specific product or service.
For example, let's say that you've spent the last twenty-five years growing and training bonsai trees, and now you're ready to share your knowledge and experience. An ebook is the perfect way to reach the largest audience of bonsai enthusiasts.

Ebooks will not only promote your business - they will help you make a name for yourself and your company, and establish you as an expert in your field. You may even find that you have enough to say to warrant a series of ebooks. Specific businesses are complicated and often require the different aspects to be divided in order for the reader to get the full story.
Perhaps your goals are more finely tuned in terms of the ebook scene. You may want to build a whole business around writing and publishing ebooks. Essentially, you want to start an e-business. You are thinking of setting up a website to promote and market your ebooks. Maybe you're even thinking of producing an ezine.

One of the most prevalent reasons people read ebooks is to find information about how to turn their Internet businesses into a profit-making machine. These people are looking to the writers of ebooks to provide them with new ideas and strategies because writers of ebooks are usually people who understand the new cyber-space world we now live in.
Ebook writers are experts in Internet marketing campaigns and the strategies of promoting and distributing ebooks. The cyber-space community needs its ebooks to be successful so that more and more ebooks will be written.
You may want to create affiliate programs that will also market your ebook. Affiliates can be people or businesses worldwide that will all be working to sell your ebooks. Think about this? Do you see a formula for success here?

Figure out what your subject matter is, and then narrow it down. Your goal is to aim for specificity. Research what's out there already, and try to find a void that your ebook might fill.
What about an ebook about a wedding cake business? Or an ebook about caring for elderly pets? How about the fine points of collecting ancient pottery?
You don't have to have three masters degrees to write about your subject. People need advice that is easy to read and easily understood. Parents need advice for dealing with their teenagers. College students need to learn good study skills - quickly. The possibilities are endless.

Getting your ebook out is going to be your focus once you've finished writing it, just as it is with print books. People will hesitate to buy any book from an author they've never heard of. Wouldn't you?
The answer is simple; give it away! You will see profits in the form of promoting your own business and getting your name out.
You will find affiliates who will ask you to place their links within your ebook, and these affiliates will in turn go out and make your name known. Almost every single famous ebook author has started out this way.
Another powerful tool to attract people to your ebook is to make it interactive. Invent something for them to do within the book rather than just producing pages that contain static text.

Let your readers fill out questionnaires, forms, even crossword puzzles geared to testing their knowledge on a particular subject. Have your readers hit a link that will allow them to recommend your book to their friends and associates. Or include an actual order form so at the end of their reading journey, they can eagerly buy your product.
When people interact with books, they become a part of the world of that book. The fact is just as true for books in print as it is for ebooks.
That's why ebooks are so essential. Not only do they provide a forum for people to learn and make sense of their own thoughts, but they can also serve to promote your business at the same time.
